About Joseph White Consulting
Our Story
Joseph White Consulting comes out of real clinical work, not theory.
I spent more than 15 years in prehospital medicine as a paramedic and firefighter, where decisions are made early, often with limited information, and those early choices set the trajectory for everything that follows. I then spent 13 years as a registered nurse working in emergency departments, inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency services, and hospital-wide house supervisor roles. That progression matters because it reflects how care actually moves through a system, from first contact to discharge and beyond.
I have seen how prehospital decisions shape emergency care, how emergency care shapes inpatient management, and how inpatient realities and system constraints influence documentation, discharge decisions, and downstream outcomes. I understand where care transitions succeed, where they fail quietly, and how those failures end up embedded in the medical record.
Today, I work with attorneys on both plaintiff and defense matters. My role is not advocacy. It is analysis. I do not sell narratives or retrofit medicine to a theory of the case. I explain what the medicine supports, what it does not, and what the medical record can and cannot defend across the full continuum of care.
If the medicine supports the claim, I will say so. If it does not, I will tell you early enough to avoid wasting time, money, or credibility.
